ECU Remapping
Although standard motorcycles perform well with
the original equipment ECU (electronic control unit),
a motorcycle modified for racing or hard road use
(e.g. race can) may require changes for optimum
horsepower gains.
Forget expensive "Power Commander" type
boxes that
trick the ECU.
Our advanced fuel management system
is used in conjunction with the original equipment
ECU
and communicates directly with the ECU allowing
for
fuel map adjustments at four points:
- Slow speed - Idle / Cruising
- Low throttle position acceleration
- Medium throttle position acceleration
- High throttle position acceleration
Throttle position adjustments are made giving fuel
metering ranges from -10% injector duration to+10%
injector duration in increments of 5%. It does not
alter the sensor input to "trick" the
ECU into thinking the air density or temperature
requires a richer mixture like some of the expensive
systems on the market. The box adjusts the map to
increase the injector duration, and therefore sensor
input will still function properly at all elevations
and in different weather conditions.
